The Friday ten-minute version
If you only have ten minutes before you shut the laptop, skip the polish. Dump for three minutes, run the prompt, cut anything that is not truly this weekend, and save the list. A plain checklist on Friday beats a perfect plan you never open.
When to skip it
Skip it when the weekend is already clear and you only have one or two jobs. Writing a system for "buy milk" is theatre.
Skip it when you are mid-crisis and need to act, not plan. Do the urgent thing first, then dump whatever is left.
And think twice when the dump includes sensitive family, health, or money details you would not want sitting in a tool that is not approved for that. Keep those jobs on paper or in a private note and only put the non-sensitive remainder into AI.
Try it once
Tonight or tomorrow afternoon, set a three-minute timer, dump everything weekend-shaped, run the prompt, edit for two minutes, and save the list somewhere visible.
If one awkward job finally leaves your head and lands on a checklist, that is enough.
What is the one weekend job that lives rent free in your head right now?
